It’s unhealthy how long it takes me to decide between Mages and Templars. I have this problem every time I replay this game.
I hate the templars, I really do. I’m a Mage almost every time, and siding with the Templars? That shit just doesn’t jive with me. Fuck the templars.
But damn it all if BioWare doesn’t tempt me every single time with Calpernia.
For such a minor antagonist? Immaculate. There’s a layer to her that Samson just doesn’t have. Samson is a wet paper towel in comparison, boring, bland. I didn’t like him in DA2, I don’t like him in DAI, I could care less about Samson.
But Calpernia? I’m a sucker for the “horribly misguided but well intentioned revolutionary” trope. I hope she does show up in DA4, I hope I get to see her again, I hope she’s become best buddies with Dorian and started reinventing the Imperium like she always wanted. She deserves it.
Like how dare you BioWare, how dare you hide her behind the templars.
