Well, this is bad, almost worse than if his Darling was a normal person.... Okay it’s worse.
Let’s now kid ourselves, this would be one of the worst case scenarios. Being an original Genei Ryodan member is worse than being one of the later ones simply because you are more responsible for killing his clan than the others.
Let’s say you met Kurapika somewhere normal, like maybe you met him on the streets of York New and you two hit it off pretty quickly. Either way, the both of you didn’t know who each other was, so things seemed to be going well.
That was until you learned of the chain user. You don’t know who he/she is, but you just had a feeling it was him. So you decide to join the hunt and save Uvogin, except you thought it would be a good idea to go in as a mafioso. You found him, chatted him up, and quickly learned you were right. You went outside to call Chrollo, but it was short lived.
Kurapika had a sixth sense as well, and he knew you were something different, he just hoped it wasn’t this. You were about to fight each other, your phone call forgotten, but chains quickly wrapped around you and kept you in place.
He’s pissed. Beyond pissed even. For a moment he hoped he could trust you, but it was just a fantasy wasn’t it? After this little stunt you pulled he won’t let you simply walk away, no, you’ll stay with him until he figures you out. You were nice before, there is no way you would actually kill his clan right? Right?!
It doesn’t matter if you regret what you did or not, there will still be punishments. He will keep you locked away, telling you and himself that everything will be okay and that you could never do something that horrible. You won’t be able to fight, seriously, his nen was specifically made for the spiders.
If his Darling is a spider, it will become very apparent that his mind is broken to pieces. He is delusional to an extreme, talking about lies he truly believes, and making his own fantasies. You didn’t do it, you were coerced into it. They forced you do kill his clan, you are a slave to the Spider and you needed to be saved.
And now he saved you, so stop screaming and fighting back. You are safe now.
