The myth of Jason's multiple murder attempts on Tim Drake
Jason did not slit Tim's throat in Hush, he gave him a nick and Selina was able to stop the bleeding immediately/it needed a couple stitches, he was fine to continue on and talking normally.
Jason did not try to kill Tim in Titan's Tower #29, he knocked him out and had left the building BEFORE the rest of the titans showed up, by the end of the issue Tim is sat up, conscious, talking and answering their questions on who it was and none of them are rushing him to medical.
Jason did sort of try to kill Tim in Battle for the Cowl (written by an author who literally stated he wanted to make Jason irredeemable) but only after Tim hit him with a crowbar (imo to trigger him on purpose to make him fight sloppier the same way Dick does successfully later with the will recording of Bruce calling Jason broken). Like, do I think this was pre-meditated in any way? No. Did Jason leave Tim in a situation where he thought he'd bleed out and die? Yes. Do I think Jason was in his right mind when this happened or that the writer was taking any care toward writing Jason in character or consistently with his previous themes/behaviour? Nope.
Did Jason try to kill Tim in Robin #177, nah, like first of all it's an ooc mess with a Tim-centric/pro-Tim at Jason's expense agenda (like really bad, I've seen super uwu fanon fanfics more fair to Jason, they really want him to be stupid/incompetent/misguided and machievelli/satan at the same time) but even as he shoots in his general direction Tim is saying "he isn't shooting at me trying to herd me thinking I'll jump toward him" + that's just how Jason fights, later on he's clearly shooting broadly not realising that there's a civilian for Tim to cover when he DOES hit Tim, and when he has him dead to rights and his gun is yanked by a third opponent on the rooftops there's no indication that he WAS planning to follow through and shoot him in the head execution style, he's still talking, still being like 'look where it gets you, this isn't sustainable' trying to convince Tim of his way of things/reaching out. Anyway it's a dogshit comic but Jason wasn't going after Tim with lethal intent imo.
