🙋 + What's Ellis' opinion on politics in each regions? Rocket/Magma+Aqua/Galactic/Plasma/Flare/Skull? Would he ever consider joining them?

He would never admit out loud that he has kind of a jaded view of Kantonians in general, due to the way he was treated while he was there. He thinks their culture enforces tradition so much, it can interrupt how they sometimes treat people–especially outsiders.As for Team Rocket, he thinks your morals would have to be pretty low in order to join Team Rocket, considering their past. He’s only heard rumors, but the rumors he’s heard are pretty terrible–he also feels that Team Rocket uses Kanto’s ‘traditional’ mindset against them (they tend to mind their own business and keep to themselves), which is pretty low. That said, he wouldn’t ever go against his own morals and treat anyone badly, no matter where they were from. It’s a discrimination that’s in the back of his mind.
While Ellis didn’t care for traversing the Hoenn region, the people there were pretty outgoing, and this helped Ellis quite a bit regarding his social skills. He likes the freedom that the people of Hoenn exude, and assumes they must be treated well as a result.Team Magma and Aqua–he simply feels they’re environmental extremists, and really, that they’re more…misguided, than they are ill-intended like Team Rocket. He thinks their efforts would be best suited toward making terrarium and aquarium conservatories, and wishes to see Aqua Aquariums and Magma Terrariums sponsored around the world, thinking their efforts would be best put to use that way–for the sake of the Pokemon he knows they all ultimately love and share passion for.
Ellis would *still* live in Sinnoh if he had to live outside of Unova! It was one of his favorite regions outside of his own. He spent the most time in Sinnoh than he had in any other region, and it helped shape him as a Pokemon trainer overall. He feels the culture is wonderful and free–they take care of their land as if the entire region was a Pokemon reserve–that’s why the people are so happy and independent, as well as goal-oriented.There’s no getting around it–Team Galactic scares the shit out of him. He’s terrified of anything regarding inter-dimensional travel or meddling with anything related to it–and the idea that these people relate to it/flirt with the idea of it terrifies him. If he found out anyone he knew was a member of Team Galactic, this might scare him into distancing himself. If he REALLY liked that person, that would be some serious plot drama because he’d have a hard grapple with it.
He loves Unova, and everything about Unova. He feels the most comfortable there. He knows that ultimately, Unovians can be seen as being super urbanized and sometimes the region can seem dirty in some places, but he doesn’t care. It’s his home, and the people there can either be terrible, or the most amazing and inspiring individuals you’ll ever meet in a lifetime.Team Plasma…he’s always torn by what to think, because while the team members ultimately just wanted to help Pokemon, they just did what they were told, or what they thought was right to achieve a higher means for Pokemon. The team members would never hurt Pokemon, so Ellis can agree with their goal, but not really their impositions.
He didn’t get a good feel for the politics of Kalos when he was there as briefly as he was. What he does know is that there are skilled artisans and immensely creative people who just try to spread their art around, and to him, nothing about that can be wrong.
He’s never been to Alola to know about the politics there.
Team Flare/Team Skull – Ellis has no idea about either of these teams. He’s never really met anyone from them and has no idea @gladionsgrownup is associated with them. He saw red suits, but he doesn’t know what that means. Figures they might be with some organization, but that’s it. Even if he found out, he doesn’t know what it means, or how it affects those around them.
He wouldn’t, he’s too busy with his own goals to devote any time to anyone else’s–but the team he would be most prone to joining would be Team Aqua, probably–but ONLY if they were gonna build aquariums for Pokemon! D/
