What are your thoughts on LV by Pharrell? I thought it was pretty, nothing revolutionary or very creative like what Virgil did, but quite a good job.
He is the number one customer that is for sure.
He studied the brand history because all of it was an homage to the Damier print.
There were some nicely tailored jackets and the skirt looks were the best ones in the show.
Those crocodile bags were amazing, and the furs, and the mirrored monogram bag. I did not care for the solo LV Logo monogram bags he could have kept those. I love that he had a van full of luggage trunks because that is the foundation of the LV brand.
The Clipse (Pusha T and Malice) coming out in Dapper Dan inspired looks was a cute moment.
I was 😬 when he brought out his entire Creative Team and there was only one Black person on there(I have this same issue with Virgil and Pierpaolo as well). It’s a nice gesture to credit the Creative Team but if the optics in front of the camera is diverse, I also need to see it behind the scenes as well because that is where the important decisions are made.
All in all it was okay for his first debut.
