I was able to catch one of my Giant Walking Sticks molting the other day! I set up my tripod and phone to record as soon as I noticed him positioning himself to molt. Isn’t he handsome? ✨

She is a lichen coloration prickly leaf/stick insect, and one day she will clone herself and produce beautiful lesbian babies.
this baby phasmid (Leptynia, i think, a weird endemic genus) was so small and comically dainty that immediately after i took this photo a moderate breeze blew it away, completely out of sight. i've held heavier springtails

I finally framed my beloved stick bugs. I put it off for years because I was scared to get it wrong but I'm happy I finally did it. It's nice to see them again :)
Their names are Ginger, Spike, Danny Phasmid, Frog, and Bulbasaur.
