Book recommendations, The Cadet of Tildor by Alex Lidell and The Assassin's Curse by Cassandra Rose Clarke.
Well Goodreads describes The Cadet of Tildor as "Tamora Pierce meets George R. R. Martin in this smart, political, medieval fantasy-thriller" so that is definitely a good sign.

I've had some discomfort with some of Tamora's relationships before, I never really thought about Aly and Neil's before and you definitely raise a good point. And it sucks that you've gotten such backlash. :(
I think it’s an easy relationship (assuming you meant Aly and Nawat) to overlook in terms of problems because its problems aren’t as in-your-face as, say, Jon/Alanna, Liam/Alanna, or Daine/Numair. Plus the Trickster books aren’t talked about nearly as much as SotL, The Immortals, or PotS, so there’s not a lot of meta out there about their particular relationship anyway.
I haven’t gotten any real backlash, just a couple of snide reblogs and the occasional snotty tag, so don’t worry about it.

There's a follow up question, I'm assuming it's from the same person, but I'm going to answer them together, since the story really involves both of them, The other question is "or is one of those 'shit that url is taken' type of url". Firstly no, this is not a shit that url is taken, I have absolutely no idea if there is a correctly spelt PheonixPonder floating around the Tumblr, I never looked to have Phoenix spelt correctly. I've been using this username for a very long time, all the way back to HPANA. Which, if you don't know, was a Harry Potter website that gathered news from all over the internet, sadly the site no longer exists, not surprising but still. I was trying for Phoenix, but I misspelt it, I was aiming for PhoenixPonderer, but not only did that sound redundant, I also happen to have dyslexia which normally doesn't give me too much trouble, but occasionally things happen and username creators do not provide spell check. Of course I could have changed it, but I rather like it and spelling Phoenix correctly takes a lot of concentration now. So the short answer to this question is no, but yes. It is however intentionally misspelt at this point. But a phoenix is most certainly where this url has always been aiming for. I do hope this clears things up!

Bright, aqua blue, like almost green but definitely still blue. Baby pink. Cream. Dusty rose colored clothing is really exciting to me, so probably that. I also really love not bright yellows. Like ones that look kind of old and vintagey.
2. describe the best thing you’ve ever eaten
I have had so much food and I don't know what was the best. I think its super fresh, burn-the-roof-of-your-mouth-hot from the oven because you can't wait a second longer made by hand from scratch chocolate chip cookies. The ones where you wanna eat another 5 but you know you'll get sick so you have to leave the kitchen and escape the smell because they're just that good.
3. describe your first kiss however you see fit
My first kiss isn't the one most people think it was. Most people don't know about my first kiss.

Earl grey tea with honey.

It's a tie between iced coffee with sugar & milk and pulpy orange juice mixed 1/2 & 1/2 with Guava nectar.

Not counting decorative pillows (Ones that are cute shapes and not big enough/the right shape to rest my head on) I have 7 pillows on my bed. Three of them are pillow pets, because I'm an adult. I only use 2 to sleep on though.

I only had myspace for like maybe 6 months, because I was waaaay late to sign up, and like right after I did, everyone was moving to facebook. I really liked the music pages though.

I'm not really sure. I worry when I give advice, because if someone listens to me and I'm wrong, I feel guilty. I've never gotten feed back.

I'm not really sure if this counts, but one time I think 2 years ago there was a huge massive snowstorm, like the ones that make roofs cave in. I was leaving work, and for some reason I turned around to look at the store. I don't really remember if I did for a reason or if I did because that's the way the universe/this story is headed. But anyways, I turned around, and Joe (the store owner) is up on the roof shoveling snow. He saw me looking and waved and said hi and what's up or something, and I was just like "I had no idea you could get onto the roof." And he just said "you can get anywhere if you try hard enough." I'm not sure if I believe that's true, or if I believe you should take advice from men standing on roofs, but I think that might be the best piece of advice I've gotten. If nothing else, I really like that story.
