No wonder Jax acts like he does. He's not traumatized because of the abstraction of his friends. He was already fucked up in real life, and the circus was supposed to be a better place.

And even in its whole cosmic horror... the circus is still a better place for Jax than real life.

You can call me delulu but just remember that GD and T.O.P are childhood friends and that GD was there with him during T.O.P's scandal and T.O.P went to see off GD when he went to the military.

T.O.P may have blocked him everywhere but they still see each other frequently

The resource of the chicken image in TSHD is so important to me.

What the author did is an actually legit way to disrupt the narrative and throw you out of your comfort zone by unexpectedly showing a 3D image in a 2D environment.

You can see this being used, most popularly, in Courage the Cowardly Dog.

3D is not only too close to home, but it is also an inherently incomprehensible concept for a 2D character. It shows how Yoshiki can try to assimilate what he felt inside of 'Hikaru' but still is unable to fully wrap his mind about it.

Which makes a lot of sense since Hikaru is supposed to be a being of horror that's beyond human comprehension!!!

Kinger for sure knows more than he possibly even realizes -in the light-

That's why Able didn't want to have him in the adventure; he would have spoiled it.

He looked at the admin pass like he knew it was fake; he would have told Pomni something important if he hadn't gone out to the light.

In the dark, he was able to reveal something that Caine doesn't want the rest to know about abstraction. Maybe a way to stop it? Maybe you leave if you abstract?

Pomni worked a job she hated

Gangle was depressed with a dead-end job

Jax has no one waiting for him

Zooble struggled a lot with, seems like, juggling a lot of things at once

Ragatha was under her mom's iron fist

The only exception might actually be Kinger

You know what? I'm actually a little disappointed that Jax saw Ribbit and Kaufmo when abstracting but not Pomni...

Do you think Ribbit told Jax if she ever abstracted he should move on and forget about her? Which is why, when Pomni asked, Jax was parroting back what Ribbit told him?
