In 2004, when D was taken from his friends and family forever was when I discovered my drumming skills. I hope I’m not being disrespectful to his family/friends/the ones he left (unwillingly) behind when I say this… Ever since I was 11, which was in 2004, I have had this euphoric, indescribable feelings when I play Panteras music that just cannot be fully explained. Have since 2004 been connected to them on a deeper, souls soul type of level. It’s almost as if his spirit, even though I never had the opportunity to be in his presence to truly know him, is there for me. Not only when I play but in everyday life. Even though I don’t feel worthy, I’m eternally grateful.
