So on Thursdays I have this class called Baking and Pastry Kitchen Operations, which is a more concise way of saying How to Own Your Own Bakeshop Business: the Numbers [Inventory, Costing, etc.] and the People [How to Interact With the Public Because They Are Your Customers and You Need as Many as You Can Get To Be Successful].
Our assignment for tomorrow is to go to the Philly Cooks event and ask a Chef questions about owning your own business.
This involves talking to strangers. Something I am not very good at. So I'm a little nervous.
But I'm trying to get excited at this opportunity and not psyche myself out by being nervous and shy. Because it could be fun and informative if I go into it with the right mindset.
I hate being shy and I wanna stop taking the easy way out by avoiding people. I need to be more comfortable talking to people if I'm going to work in this industry.
