Had a chance to take video with my brand new camcorder at the The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts Presents: 7th Annual A SOULFUL CHRISTMAS with Musical Direction by J. Donald Dumpson | Honoring Dr. Norman Hutchins. What I found out is this camera is NOT meant for music. Luckily, I bought it for red carpet interviews and press conferences.The mic picked up speeches just fine, but beautiful voices and melodic instruments get real pitchy, too much feedback. The marketing director at the Kimmel did ask me if I wanted to plug into a mixer, but I said that shouldn't be necessary, because I didn't know how to do that 😆 Wasn't sure I even had the right plugs and cords to do something like that. Blogging keeps life interesting! #PhillyCalendar #PhillySpotlight RECAP T&T attended the reception @Philatheatreco which unveiled their line-up for the 2018-2019 season, which includes Pulitzer Prize-winner "Sweat" by Lynn Nottage, a World Premiere production from the Kilroys’ List with "How To Catch Creation" by Christina Anderson, and the Tony Award-winning musical "The Bridges of Madison County", with a book by Marsha Norman and music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown. The KILROYS LIST is an independent Los Angeles-based collective which supports and compiles a list of underproduced new plays of excellence by females and trans playwrights. It is a tool for producers committed to ending the systemic underrepresentation of these artist in the American theater. Founded in 2013, The Kilroys are named after the iconic graffiti tag “Kilroy Was Here” that was first left by WWII soldiers in unexpected places, a playfully subversive way of making their presence known.
