For oc shipping: my new vampire charles. He's a sophisticated pacifist surgeon, who used to be a barber surgeon so he can also cut hair. Dispite being 300 years old at least he keeps up fairly well with modern culture, but can have slip ups like saying 'radical' to connect to the youths. Enjoys visual puns. Will have No fighting in his house, you can have a blood fued but if you come to his house at the same time as the person you hate you WILL be civil.
Loveday, kicking down the door–
Ok no, Charles isn’t his type, but I still demand that they interact through some circumstance or another.
I’m real tempted to ship him with my younger vampire, Joseph. (Call him Jojo or you will perish by his hand.) He had a rough life before being turned, and his Sire didn’t stick around to explain JACK to him, so he had an even rougher life after being turned. It’s led to him getting involved in some pretty shady business, but his main source of income is fffffffffffuckin’.
Understandably, he trusts no one, not even himself, and he has a bone to pick with humans AND vampires. Neither group ever treated him as anything but vermin, so he has a very, “It’s me, myself, and I,” view of the world. No one’s going to help him, or even show him basic decency, so he’s gotta fight to survive.
He’s still real young, like, twenty or so, so the contrast between an older vampire and a younger one would be interesting, on top of the contrast in their personalities. Jojo is rough ‘round the edges, thinks everything has to end in a brawl; I’d pay good money to see Charles make him act like a civilized member of society.
“Joseph–”
“Jo. Jo.”
“Jojo, what are you eating?”
“I ‘dunno, I found it under my mattress.”
“You’re a vampire, you don’t need to eat.”
“I think it’s that pizza I ordered last month.”
“JOSEPH.”

Do you know how to tell if an alter intergrated spontaneously or went dorment? he dissapeared after our abuser appologized to me, but I havent noticed his personality traits showing up in any of the rest of us, though I didn't know him super well. Flash back nightmares went away at the same time.
spontaneous integration is less likely than goin dormant. spontaneous integration usually happens after a lotta work and not just one event. if ya have been workin with yr abuser to try to work through the trauma n the apology was a climax to a buncha work you’d already been doin, i would say that integration is possible cuz with integration, ya don’t always see the traits really obviously spread out with other alters. sometimes alters can do somethin like carry only one specific trait or emotion so it’d be harder to tell.
if ya haven’t been workin through it n yr abuser just popped outta nowhere and apologized, i’d be more inclined to say that it mighta went into dormancy. if that alter was appeased enough for the moment it might have slunk back cuz it isn’t immediately necessary at the moment. if the alter went into dormancy there’s a good chance it’ll come back around again once it’s time to start workin on the deeper parts of abuse n actually work through the trauma. dormancy is harder for the alter to get out of n usually happens if there’s way more pressin issues or trauma to work thru
there’s also a third option ya didn’t mention where he just went out of sight, still active, but is workin more quietly/invisibly to hold onto the trauma. same reason as above, he might have felt appeased enough that he ain’t gotta be vying for front or the spotlight but he’s still chuggin along, doin his thing, until the trauma properly gets worked through. if yr brain has the power to keep that alter goin it’s easier to keep them goin if they still have current shit to work on
these aren’t hard n fast rules but this is generally how it’s worked for us n the other systems we have known
Green?
I’ll go with Lupin, because, boy, does he love some neon green!
Lupin is a half-demon from a broken home. When his mother learned of his father’s true nature, she packed up and left, taking little Lupin with her. As he aged, his magical abilities began to manifest, and he struggled to fit in among humans, especially during puberty.
In the end, his mother sent him back to his father, believing that he would be better equipped to raise their half-breed child. His father raised him well through his turbulent adolescence, but the exchange was a traumatic experience, and, to this day, Lupin refuses contact with his mother.
He developed a rebellious nature as a result of his upbringing, so it was no surprise to anyone when he chose a career as a tattoo artist. He had always been artistically inclined, and it was a profession he knew his mother would have disapproved of, so, naturally, it spoke to him. He’s been in the business for nearly a decade now, with no signs of slowing down.
(It doesn’t help that he’ll tattoo anyone who’ll pay, including hardened criminals, who now consider him a go-to. His mother would simply die.)
Lupin is typically unemotional and cold, but it’s only skin deep. He has a lot of issues he’s hiding behind a hard outer shell; they’re deeply personal, and he has yet to find anyone he’s comfortable sharing them with. For this reason, he plays the part of an apathetic introvert, who prefers the company of needles to other people.
