Hi, I've enjoyed reading the posts on here. Thank you for helping people find a way into something they want or need. I can't help but think this tumblr is nothing about art but the business of people. This reminds me why I took the EXIT from the "art" community. Art will always be Art. The advice and facts are great. My advice for $$$ & Creations - Do what you want, you can sell anything, sell yourself, you set the price, you cash it out - Art is never for sale, time and creativity is.

I realize this isn’t a question, but a rambling commentary, but I just couldn’t resist responding. I don’t buy the attitude that money cancels out art, or that true art can’t be commercial art. Some of the greatest masterpieces of art have been painted on commission. The Sistine Chapel? Commercial Art. DaVinci’s Last Supper? Commercial Art. These pieces were commissioned by clients for a specific purpose (beyond just decoration) and often heavily directed by those clients.

A great artist will find a way to take a client’s idea and inject their own passion and concept into it, and thus elevate that project to a masterpiece. That’s art.
