Here at opening @PhilaIndie for the 10th Annual Philadelphia Independent Film Festival @GershmanY #piffFilms Just screened 1st film - Hedgehog (Drama) 120 min. Directed by Lindsey Copeland. (Princeton, NJ. USA) Madeline Brewer plays a girl in her 20's trying to follow in the footsteps of her deceased comedian father, but so much anger, angst and fear of being vulnerable gets her turned around. It's a bit long, but you come to really care about this turbulent girl. The writing is very good, particularly the dialogue between she and the guy she meets. Good start to the fest. Well, glitch with projector caused a delay, but what's a film fest without some technical difficulties.
