small update and answering questions!
so far we have 65~ total writer & artist applicants with 13 beta readers! i haven’t had to throw out any applications so i count that as a win!
some questions that have been brought up:
Q: When will we know we’ve been accepted into the event? And when are the discord invites being sent out?
A: Writers will know the night of the 4/27 or early morning of the 4/28. Artists will know the night of 5/4 or early morning of the 5/5.
Discord invites will be sent out according to the role you applied for, sent via an email (so make sure to check your inbox, spam and all!) as it’s an easier mass communication method than tumblr dms lol.
Q: Will beta readers be provided? Or will we have to find our own?
A: Yes! The sign ups for beta readers have so far grabbed 13 very nice individuals. They will be able to be pinged in a specific discord channel, they will read your CWs and what you want help with. They’ll reply to your ping if interested. If no one bites please ping me (flubi), i’m willing to read over anything regardless of CWs (WITH WARNING) and give feedback.
Q: What counts as mature content for the event?
A: Outside of 18+/NSFW, mature content is defined as: graphic violence (i.e. detailed torture), graphic/detailed abuse, suicide and drug abuse. The info doc was updated 4/13 to include this info. Basically anything that could make a movie rated R.
Q: Can I submit my fic summary early?
A: Unfortunately it will have to wait until the official summary form goes live. The form is still being worked over to make sure it catches any CWs and relevant details. But you’re more than welcome to message the blog or flubi on discord with your current summary to give it a look over!
