I like to think that Nick would've been a good dad™ if only cause I want Truce to have her teenage years that helps her get over her childhood traumas

I dig that headcannon where the ongoing that-man-has-shit-job-and-can't-support-his-kid look that Truce deeply reinforce is just a manipulative fraud by both Wrights cause like, Nick'ld've totally done that, if not for Apollo for Gavin

(there is this thing here that Wright is quite manipulative when he thinks the ones being used will not be actually harmed- and yes it includes that act in aa4-1 read the twitter link it fucked me up)

ALSO there is this fact that he has lots of supportive friends and clients that he won over??? like even though Wright possibly lay low to protect his ppl and also cause he doesn't talk jack shit about his problems he has like. an army. of frendos.

I can see Maya stuffing a giftcard in his pocket sayin 'I got this as a bonus from a client but we don't have wall-mart near here u use this'

I can see Edgeworth sending a fuckton of tickets and passes for exhibitions and shows saying he got lots of acquaintances that send him those but since he is in Europe it'd go to waste if the Wrights don't use it

Though Nick mostly faces and copes with hardships headon with lips slammed shut, Miles would have been terrified enough to rope him into a therapy, Trucy included of course because shut up Wright think of it as a debt I pay back for that note, or because I need to see that a kid with their dad gone is okay

Nick fixes breakfast for the both of them before going to bed, waking up at Truce pulling side dishes from the fridge and tablewares to the table. They go to the bus station together, Truce going to school and Nick to library or his day job, meeting up again after school for Truce's performance. Sometimes Nick's night job runs late, he has a sitter that's been with Truce for ages now to walk her home after helping out at his game. But even when he's late he always returns, always has the afternoon to hang out with Trucy, though she sometimes sees him off to tackle a secret mission, waving at her sitting next to her school friend. Weekends has them shopping together for food, magic stuffs, clothes and though it is true that they buy cheap stuff, less snacks, they always have something trying to cook up together for sunday lunch. They go to museums and shows gifted by their friends, takes a bus ride to the beach that has both of them dozing off-Truce sitting on the seat, Nick standing over her.

Some vacations Truce spends with Maya and Pearl, some in Germany with her dad and Miles. Summer schools and camps that she gets to make foreign friends, coming home to a ridiculously big mansion with variation of people greeting her in. Miles squinting at her, Nick smiling that grin just for her, rare Franziska trying hard to be pleasent. It is often the housekeeper though, as Nick is busy on a business trip with Miles -but by the time she comes here it is quite okay for it to be that way. She's in her teens! Independent! Can and will do whatever she wants even without her dad! But mostly it is because she finally believes that Nick will never leave him, and even though he does there will be milliards of friends who will bring him back to her. Nick had asked her, sitting side by side in front of their therapist, if it'ld be okay for her to be alone for a bit. Truce is surprised to find that it is a yes.

Like. Truce having a genuinely stable life helps to dad effort and friend support
