Dark Harvest is ALWAYS the episode that I end up remembering first whenever I think about Zim. ALWAYS.
It is the epitome of Zim’s grossness. The sickly green pallor kids become......just imagining the hundreds or internal organs he swallowed oh man.....

I used to fucking love this song. Haven’t listened to it in awhile but I was hooked on it one summer trip a few years back.
This further cements my belief that riding in a car with you + your complete control over the music would be kickass.

WHAT. I NEED MORE DETAILS ON THIS WHEN YOU WAKE UP. BECAUSE WHAT.
I think one of the happiest, or at least most relishable, moments of my life was learning this.
Just so you know, this guy was pretty much satan growing up. I'd have to deal with him being a complete dick like hitting me for trying to play Pokemon, not let me play any games, general hot shit elitist douchebag behaviour whenever I was around, etc.
Fast forward a few years. I'm 16, bored as fuck, sitting in the backseat and his mom + my mom are gossiping.
The great thing about growing up second-gen pinoy? No one thinks you understand anything in tagalog.
So picture me, listening raptly as this woman describes in detail how her son, at 19, is starting to have "concerns about the female body" and how in tears he told her he's never seen pussy up close and asked her if there was something wrong with him not getting horny because of that.
I really don't understand how the solution to this problem was her showing him her vagina one day, but it happened, and apparently "all his worries disappeared."
Anyway, it's hard to actively hate a dude who antagonized you throughout childhood when he sunk to, well, that.

I’m pretty much the exact same way so I know where you’re coming from. In high school I was up for “Most Quiet”, “Most Unique”, and “Most Likely to Succeed” cause everyone knew different “versions” of me. All me but all different aspects.
Oh man, that's amazing. And I'm glad you can relate. I have friends who are like this too, and you can usually tell who is in a group.

I’ve never watched it and now glad I haven’t.
I enjoyed it. I'm going to miss it.

I’m really sorry to hear this on a multitude of levels that I can’t even begin to express right now :/
I'm pissed off. I'm disappointed. I'm a bit hopeless. Phoenix, I really loved this show, and I think you did too, so I'm feeling what you're feeling.

Everyone demanding “proof” needs to be lit on fire. I’m so sick of this playing out the exact same way every time.
That's the most disgusting thing I've seen people say, because it KEEPS HAPPENING. And it really goes to show how ignorant about sexual crimes people are.
1. Unlike other crimes, sexual assault and harassment preys on the fear of the victim coming out. It's the one crime you can commit where you're counting on the victim not saying a fucking word. 2. Calling out a fellow worker is more career-destroying for the victim than the perpetrator, 10 times out of 10. Especially, as it is in Emily's case, someone who is more liked and successful than her. 3. There is literally no up-side to calling someone out on touching you inappropriately because the victim will always be scrutinized, judged, and since this happened in a work setting, will probably face challenges moving up in the industry. There are no hidden benefits, there's no intelligent reason for someone to do this. The number of false reports are so much lower than you'd think. 4. Seriously, look at the backlash now. No one in their right mind would want this, especially someone who knows how shitty the internet reacts, unless they were going through hell anyway.
We, as fans of comics and cartoons, hell, as decent human beings, really can't afford to gloss over this shit. We can't treat sexual harassment and assault in the creative industries as just another headline while continuing to consume media made by perpetrators of sexual violence, and in doing so, showing corporations that people who sexually assault other people are profitable, and therefore valuable.
And this whole "there's no proof" shit really makes me side-eye because it's another tactic perpetrators count on silencing their victims, and it's really just a disservice for all survivors. Survivors know that there's no proof. The fact that they're speaking out anyway says a lot.
Urgh. I'm sorry this is long.
I just want people to know this isn't a solely tumblr thing. Forget the "oh of course tumblr is sensitive" vs edgy grimdark internet users binary, and consider that the reason so many people on tumblr speak out about this shit is because they've experienced it.

I’ve just come to the conclusion that I’m too old for this fucking site. It wasn’t so bad when I started back around 2010/11-ish but it feels like the demographic of this site has decidedly settled for dumb teenagers who think they’re smart.
Yeah, this demographic terrifies me with how willing they are to be uninformed and propagate whatever ideas their friends are into without thinking too hard.
But at the same time, I checked that person's blog and they were older than me. That's...even scarier.
