The Sidewalk Project team had an incredibly warm welcome from everyone we met in Phoenix. It started with our new #PhoenixSidewalkProject team leader Tami of @thefyoupoint and progressed through ever encounter with artists and community organizers at @unexpectedartgallery a gaggle of phenomenal people we spent time sharing ideas with at @sabrosotacofest the energetic, courageous and creative volunteers who joined us in launching #phoenixsidewalkproject with art, music, food, healing arts and haircuts and especially the beautiful houseless community of #downtownphoenix who welcomed us and joined us in gettin’ down with #PhoenixSidewalkProject as we hung out in 106 degree heat together! The entire weekend was fire. We’re grateful to everyone who joined in on the adventure. More photos and stories to come. Please tag. We don’t have everyone’s info this time, but we super dig you! We did a Sidewalk Project today in Phoenix. Lots of updates to come. For now, this: We met some ladies looking for a woman on the streets. Teary eyed, they showed us her photo. We told them we would post her picture. They donated water and brown bag lunches to our project. Her name is Monica Aliman. She is houseless and has been seen around Andre House.
