The President also emphasized that the "New Syria" is adopting a policy of openness and extending its hand for cooperation with all international parties based on mutual interest and respect. He agreed with the American President on the need for the language of dialogue to prevail in resolving regional conflicts. President al-Sharaa stressed that "active diplomacy" is the only way to overcome chronic crises in the region. For his part, President Trump affirmed his country's support for the aspirations of the Syrian people in building a unified and strong state. He welcomed the ceasefire agreement, considering it a pivotal step toward ending the conflict.
