TODD AND TIME NEIL AND WINDOWS BUT CHARLIE AND KNOX AND PHONES

Todd has time related imagery and and Neil has the window, but Knox and Charlie tap into modernity with the phone. They have their phones. And I just think it's kind of a reflection of who they are.

Also it comes down to the same reason - It all involves Girls. Very Charlie and very Knox...but their calls are seen as impulsive and out there - and they both lead to trouble - Knox and Charlie act out of place and they get punished for it ultimately (Knox is beaten by Chet and Charlie is punished by the main authority of the school)

Like for them the phone call is an act of impulse - CARPE DIEM taken in a completely different (wrong) direction...In pursuit of supposed female affection...

Kinda but not really lmao - I basically took my old nickname as my new actual name. But I do also go by Louie sometimes

The emperor: what are some names that you like?

Cecil, Sebastian, and Charlotte are some of my favorite names! Whenever I imagine having kids in the future, I imagine those names. I also like Adrian - I actually almost named myself that.

The tower: favorite colors to wear?

Olive green is my fav :)

I don't blame AG fandom for wanting to push AG to do better on all fronts of diversity, but I think it's frankly a little shortsighted to use Maryellen as a punching bag for everything 'wrong' with the brand. Yes was making a white girl from the 50s revolutionary? No of course not. But was making her story include firm pro-vaccination and anti-xenophobia stances a pretty bold move given how well she's going to sell to Middle America? Yeah it was. (Lest we forget she was launched in 2015!!!)

It's sad but true that a lot of white kids might not have parents who are going to buy them an Addy or a Kaya or a Melody doll, so having a “””safe white character””” who has an anti-xenophobia and pro-immigration plotline with VERY obvious and relevant ties to current political tensions feels really true to the aims of old school AG. Exposing kids to empathy building is really important and I think Maryellen's story does that more than she gets credit for.

Yeah big mood re: Peter & Sam. Like as much as I would LOVE if they were a couple as long as they're not dating other people I'll be happy.
