Have yourself a screen-free holiday. Enjoy the day and talk to one another, have conversations - and leave your cell phone in the car! Merry Christmas!
phone free days 2.0
January 10th, 2017. Another thing that bothers me about the mobile free days at school. If the teachers see your phone, they take it from you and you can take it back in the afternoon. Seems fair. That are ALWAYS the consequences. So today shouldnt even be a special day, bc this are rules, and they always have been. So idk, if the teachers hate the phones so much that there has to be a special day, why dont they just maintain it everyday?
The only difference is that your phone should be in your locker, but who even listens to that? Maybe I’m just badass or anything, but i just didnt take it out of my bag/pocket, just like most people.
But hey, teachers can still have their phones right? ‘We are not students, we have more rights.’Why are almost all of them really businesslike and boring? BC they want us to grow up (i asked it to my English teacher and this was his anwser). Its all about equal rights and stuff. And i know, teachers can do more as students, but idk, it doesnt seem fair. Phone free days mean PHONE FREE DAYS. If even the teachers dont give a fuck, why should we, as the students?

How Do Phone-Free Spaces Impact Women's Safety?
It’s hard to imagine life without a smartphone — but that’s exactly what an increasing number of venues are trying to do. Phone-free spaces are quickly becoming the chic way to go out out. There are the Secret Cinema events, that provide sealable bags for phones to create an atmosphere of exclusivity. Then there are countless clubbing venues that have introduced the policy. Take Amber’s in…
Phone-Free and FB, Twitter and IG-Free
It’s been a long time since I posted a blog because I was experimenting on myself before I could actually write it in a blog.
So, the title says it all. I’ve been experimenting on myself whether I could actually do it or not, being phone-free and FB, Twitter and IG free, and the lessons and development I gained on this experiment are to be told below.
I decided to delete the three apps in my phone, but I didn’t entirely delete the accounts. I just kind of ghosted it and my followers and friends, and still left my online identity as it is so then they wouldn’t think I’m dead or whatever. I still had my messenger open but turned off the active status. I don’t know. I just really wanted to have more time for myself, to invest in learning, in my mental and emotional health, to have more time.
This decision made a huge change in my life. It’s not even a month long that I did this but the change is like a long time ago. It’s made me even more happier and fulfilled. I feel like I have a lot of time now and I became more patient than I never was.
It’s like going back to old times, where I was still little and just doing things like a normal kid would do without the phone and all that stuff.
And by phone-free, I don’t entirely mean I’m phone-free the whole day. I still use my phone, of course, I need it for work, for learning, and for accountability and catching up with friends and family, I just have days where I am phone-free, and that’s on Sundays.
You know I realized, without those three, I never really did miss something. Before, I would think that without Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, it’s like I am missing half of my life, but the very truth is, I am NOT. I actually am not missing anything. Or maybe I would miss the memes. HAHA.
Nonetheless, I have been having the best quality of sleeps, I’m not moody anymore, because I now have time to get that 8-hour sleep that our body needs. I get frequent breaks, it’s already a non-negotiable for me. I get more time to reflect that I never did before because I was too focused on scrolling and judging people’s posts which I am not proud of. I sleep before 10PM and out of phone after 8PM as much as I can depending on when I get to finish my work.
PEOPLE, I AM LIVING HEALTHY!!! This is the healthiest I have been in, in my not-yet-twenty years.
There are actually a LOT of things that changed, but I don’t want to spoil everyone, you have to try it out for yourself and find out your best self.
Let’s be phone-free and FB, Twitter, and IG-free.

So I didn’t take my phone with me last night and I didn’t miss it at all. I had the opportunity to really connect with people and just be in the moment. Had I had my phone with me though I could have taken a photo that looked something like this.
