Red - I had to do some fast talking to get this image, but I knew I wanted her as the model. Putting this together had us both out of our comfort zones. And it worked.
If you have ever seen the walls of my home, you can just imagine how hard it was to set this up. But it helps to have people around me who want to help and can understand my photogese.
It’s definitely time to partner up with a hair and makeup artist and have some fun.
The more I look at this image, the more I think I want to have it made into a print.
Went to get more darkroom paper today and also check if they had any used Macro lenses. They got me these cheap close up filters instead, probably going to use them for "The Art of Photography" assignment 1. I'm really, really excited to have these filters. At this point I'm kind of bummed that I'm not sure how to get in touch with the other members doing this assignment. I think I was hoping to make some friends through this but maybe I should just focus on shooting first.
Here are the final shots from my first project in Photo 2 this semester.

Failure 2
For this assignment we had the choose between failures we came up with.
The first photo is about comparing yourself with others. The flowers in the mirror stand for beauty. Because most of the time you compare yourself to something or someone more beautiful (in your opinion).
The second photo is about the story of a girl in my class, who didn’t get into a dance academy. I could relate to this story because I have danced for 10 years and one time I auditioned for a show. Almost everybody in my dance class got chosen except me. I put the dancing shoes down on a mirror because in a dance studio there a mirrors everywhere. I also put some wilted leaves next to them to point out that it is was in the past.
