Ah, the teacher. She had heard about this man a lot. More than a lot from multiple sources, actually. She took stock of what was in front of her, not really worried or intimidated by the showmanship of his outfit but still cautious. His reputation was well earned and she wasn’t entirely sure someone wasn’t throwing money around to get rid of her at the moment. It wasn’t likely, exactly but that didn’t mean it wasn’t happening.

Occam’s Razor said he was probably here for another purpose though. “Brock’s not here right now. Neither’s Dad. Was there something you needed right this minute?”

Brock blinked hard, surprised by the unexpected presence of his former teacher. “Well I wasn’t expecting to see you around. Thanks, I guess….” He was a little puzzled why the sudden reappearance of this man in his life. “Is there something I can do for you?”

“Where did you find the little thing?”,she asked. This was a fluffy white kitten with bright gold eyes. Kimiko held them gently as she looked up at Tony. A small smile on her face as she asked,”Why are you giving me this?”

It was just business.

Taskmaster was a competitor. A mentor, too, but he had eventually gone soft, like everyone who stays at the top for too long. Aaron had taken advantage. Used his pretty eyes and deadly hands. Lured him into bed, drugs in the food, which the man ate so trustingly. A gunshot to the head. Quick, simple and efficient. Aaron likes to think Tony would have appreciated it.

He didn’t regret it. He was more powerful now. He’d had to deal with some of TM’s more persistent allies, but he was top dog, now. At least in this circle. And he wouldn’t be going soft.

“I think I’m just going to stay at home and read a book tonight. I don’t really want to see all those couples going on dates.”

“I’d come join you,but I promised Belinda that we’d go out tonight.”,she said. They both really wanted to go see a movie together. It was going to be something other than a horror movie for once. Then they’d go out for dinner. Frowning slightly,she asked,”Do you want us to get you food after or are you good?”
