So like I started taking a computational graphics course and the prof started with a brief look into light physics and properties and BY JOVE I WAS ACTIVATED LIKE A SLEEPER AGENT
I was shaking like a kid on 3 espresso shots as I hung onto dear life trying not to start screaming out details in full about photophysics
Prof: What is light?
The answer: An electromagnetic wave
What I wanted to say: A boson emitted from an atom when an excited electron goes down to a lower more stable energy state
Prof: Light intensity relates to its energy
Me, shaking and holding up my hand violently to speak (In my head): NO IT IS NOT LIGHT INTENSITY IS RESONANCE FROM WAVES INTENSIFYING IT, THE LIGHT'S ENERGY IS THE SAME, IT JUST HAS HIGHER INPUT/OUTPUT POWER, PLEASE LET ME TELL YOU PLEASE A student: Why when we lower screen brightness we still see white?
Me, again waiting for a chance to speak without interrupting: IT'S RELATIVE, OUR COLOUR PERCEPTION IS RELATIVE
