#Phrasure getting Down...tats a good Dude right there! (at The High Note)
Hi. You probably know me.
I have a different blog. I’m starting this blog to be solely dedicated to my music and the music of Tempora Orbis.
If you are unfamiliar with Tempora Orbis, we are a 5-piece hip-hop collective from Birmingham, Alabama (consisting of myself [Phrasure], Richard Daniel, bwaugh, Rick Dawg and Oz-B). Our full discography can be located here: https://temporaorbis.bandcamp.com/
If you’re just interested in my music, you can find my own bandcamp: https://phrasure.bandcamp.com/
I will be following this post with links to every single project on Tempora Orbis’s Bandcamp, and my commentary on it.
I hope you enjoy.
This song, eclipse. (by my side) is possibly my current favorite song from my album Wonderlust. To me, it is the embodiment of the album. In fact, the album was initially going to be called Eclipse, but I decided to make it a song instead. The song is about the vastness of the universe, and how things that seem so important to us could be so insignificant and vice verse. And it's all from the perspective of me, sitting beside my best friend, in a couple lawn chairs in my dad's driveway, just catching up and relaxing and wondering. Wondering. Wonderlust. Also, I had a BLAST creating the instrumental for this, and the second half kinda just happened by accident, but it's perfect for the song. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do
Rick Dawg and I have a track called In Motion which samples one of Robin Williams's speeches in Dead Poets Society. It's only in demo form, but because of the tragedy of Robin Williams's suicide, we decided to release the demo.
Rest in Peace, Mister Williams. Thank you for your inspiration for me to make one of the best songs I've made yet.
SO for my followers in Birmingham, I'm trying to sell tickets for a Battle of the Bands for me and my partner in crime, Richard Daniel. The more tickets we sell, the better our performance time is and our chances of winning are! So if you're free on June 29th from 4-10, please buy a ticket to support us! They're only $7. If you want to meet up with me to purchase one, just send me an ask and I'll make sure to find a convenient time to get it to you. If you'd rather buy online, just click that link. Be sure to put in Phrasure & Richard Daniel where it asks for the artist name.
Thank you SO much for all of you who support and help. This is super important to me. I love you all. Hope to see some of you there!
So I've decided that every few days I'm gonna link to some of mine and Richard's songs just because. Concerning mine, I'll give a brief description, how it came about, how I feel about it, etc. Just a fun little thing to do in hopes for some reblogs, listens, and download.
First one will be up soon.
