Playing around with Phrygian Mode! Just for you, @mikauzoran.
It took me a bit of time to figure out what chord progressions work in Phrygian to resist the strong pull toward Aeolian (relative minor of the Ionian (regular) mode), since the the root note of Phrygian is the fifth in that scale, which naturally wants to resolve to the first. Anyway, I managed to find out (through experimentation and research) that the first, second, and third chords work.
Also, it’s more obvious that I’m improvising since there’s no meter. :P
I was thinking about / trying to channel flamenco music when playing this. (I have no skill to play anything sophisticated. ;-;) Someday when it’s not two a.m. I’ll try to make something with actual rhythm. ^^
This feels like the music version of the color palette challenge. :P It was fun. Thanks for the challenge! ^___^
best mode, best time signature
.... And now, with actual rhythm! In Phrygian again just for @mikauzoran. So rough, but I tried to do it in 5/4 time signature, in honor of additive meter. :P
Track 7: not sure who/what influenced that one ; perhaps I did something slightly original for once?

I made this song thinking of it as a song that would play when you are in an apocolypse and your phrydge runs out of food so you have to run to the grocery store to get more milk and stuff. Notice how I spelt "fridge" as "phrydge"
