Back at #phuzzfest, I watched this panel about "building a music scene." It was a hard concept to articulate at the time. With that in mind, @hopscotchfest really highlights a few things: Cohesive "scenes" ride on the back of badasses like this lady pictured. Not only did she shred with #birdsofavalon AND #soldiersoffortune. BUT she also tore it up whipping up magic in the kitchen at @garlandraleigh. Without their "hummus" I couldn't have made it through the day, let alone the festival. And she's not the only one: you may notice that most of your best bartenders look familiar---it's probably because they melted your face off over the course of the past few days and kept those sweet spirits flowing through the night.
