Verge of Ethereal

Night had long fallen when Jongkook stepped out of the building and onto the quiet street. The temperature was getting warmer each day as the season began slowly changing to that of a summer. The pale moon that hung against the dark sky was nowhere to be seen tonight as a few stars twinkle sparsely above. He gave a quick nod to a fellow coworker who had just bade him goodbye before striding to where his motorcycle was parked, turning it on and letting the engine run for a while before hopping onto the seat and riding off.
The headquarter he had to report to was located in Mindeulle, which meant that there was no need for him to pass through any other district to get back to Gaenari. But this time round, he turned the other way and rode down a different route until he reached the outside skirts of Baekap, stopping just across a storefront.
He had been here earlier on in the late morning but it was closed, and upon inquiries from nearby shops, it’s only opened from late evening. He took out the little piece of handwritten note from his back pocket, confirming that it was really the address that his coworker had written before alighting from his bike. He stood in front of the shop, looking at the sign spelling out Deadwicks. His brows furrowed a little in puzzlement. That was such a bizarre name for a store selling tea mixes?
Or maybe not, when he noticed what the store truly comprises of.
He gave a light shrug and stuffed the small note back into his pocket. The slight creases between his eyebrows vanishing as he stepped forward, his boots click-tapping against the hard surface ground. With a push, the door opened as he entered the store, the sound of bell chiming echoing across the place.
“Excuse me,” he politely called out, eyes flickering around in search for the owner. It was a rather unique store, but Jongkook had seen even more peculiar stuff, and therefore barely bat an eyelid as he silently took in the details of the interior.
