I am starting to lose track of the number of opponents who just... obviously do not read card text in Magic Arena.
This happens roughly 50-75% of the time when I play a Phyrexian Vindicator. That one card has started to be my main way of winning ranked games, and it's just mind-boggling.
Maybe they just see a 5/5 flying? Perhaps they don't think it's "special" because it only costs WWWW? Or perhaps they misunderstood the idea of "does not take damage" and "redirects damage."
The number of times people have conceded after realizing they Done Effed Up watching own creatures die from redirected damage...
Anyway. Maybe it's because everyone else went surging forwards into the newer card sets and I'm still brewing from the older stuff. (Because I like the older stuff.) They just don't remember what the cards do any more.
Which is, y'know, why you take a moment to read the card text if you're not sure.
