Should Physical Buttons Return?
We hear you, they’re not bad, but they’re not great. The Tamagotchi Pix was the first model to introduce touch buttons, and that would be the standard for the next two years. They aren’t that bad, in fact, they’re rather responsive, but definitely take some time to get used to. You have to look at the screen as you’re touching each button to ensure you’ve clicked the right one. Don’t get us wrong, we like them, but are they going to be the standard moving forward?
The Tamagotchi Smart, released in Japan only has one physical buttons and the rest is handled directly in the touchscreen. With such a small screen, its definitely hard to know what you’re clicking. Which leads us to the question, are physical buttons the way to go?
We’re not sure what Bandai has up their sleeves for the next devices, and they haven’t disappointed so we’re sure it’ll be great, but should it have physical buttons?
