There's a big ultra-cold freezer trunk I always walk past when I'm getting lunch and it got me wondering about something. If you had a walk-in freezer running at -20 degrees Celsius and a free-standing freezer 10% as large running at -80 degrees Celsius and they're both already at temperature, then all else being equal, would placing one inside of the other make the combined energy consumption higher, lower, or equal?
