my physics professor this semester is actually the funniest person alive so here's a quote from today

My physics prof coined the term "swerve" for Angular Impulse. I thought it was really funny.
In physics last semester, I complained about the lack of symbols for variables - there’s only so many letters in the Greek and Latin alphabets, after all - and I suggested we start taking from other writing systems. I was thinking Norse runes, but the professor decided that Tolkien’s Elvish would be better, and said this.
