It was the first thought on the squads mind when the abandoned building came into full view
They had heard about the place that they were currently standing before, that it had been abandoned and forgotten for decades, to the point were no-one could remember what the original intent for it was. Not even the big major companies had bothered with it, allowing time to destroy what once could have possibly been something grand.
To simply put: they were expecting a rotting old building that could possibly collapse with a gentle breeze
But no, what they witnessed instead was a building that stood proud on it’s foundations before them. The miniscule porch free of weeds and overgrowth, curtains drawn wide (which themselves appeared to be new) to allow what shallow light penetrated the surrounding darkness and to top it all off it looked as though the place had been recently painted, giving the building a splash of (admittedly still dull) colour
Ronan was the first to break the groups silent stupor “um... did we- did we get the right place? this certainly doesn’t look ‘abandoned’, not that I’m complaining or anything...” he mumbled the last part, barely audible. Pamille hums in agreement, nodding her head to his observation
GoldenBloom shakes his head in dismay “No, no it’s the right one. Everyone nearby said that nobody has bothered with showing any development on the surrounding areas, much less redecoration for anything previous”
Fluffy steps forward, determination clear on their face “well if this the right place then that makes it all the better! I mean, who would bother to keep a place like this in basic condition when anyone barely remembers it exists!” they throw their arms open, gesturing to the front porch. “This just proves that there MUST be something going on here!” they exclaimed, turning to face the group, eyes wide with excitement.
Goldie just sighs at his siblings antics, pinching the brig of his nose “alright, I suppose we did come all this way. might as well see if anything is-” he peaks back up...
Only to see the blond missing “here... Goddammit Fluffy...” He turns to face the remaining duo, giving a solemn look that screams ‘This isn’t a choice anymore’
“Guess we’re going inside after all...”
