•｡ ღ “𝓛uke,” Sofia giggled, kneeling down to be closer to the same level as Luke - sitting in a chair on the front deck of their cruise ship - embracing the side of his face delicately with one hand, with the cloth of his blindfold in between her fingertips. It was not often that he was the one wearing the blindfold, but even she was capable of blowing him away with a surprise - but, she reminded herself, it was important to remain focused and not let her mind wander.

“𝓜y husband... the father of my children... the love of my life... but, as of late, my villain once again. Words cannot express my gratitude to you for all of the conditional love you have given me, even during times that I may not have deserved it,” she sighed, “my heart breaks thinking of the past couple of months that I have neglected you and our children... but you, Luke,” a smile graces her face, “remained by my side and saved me. I know what I would do without you, my love... I cannot imagine my life without you.” Sofia stands up and leans over, inches away from his face - until her lips touch his ever so lightly. “I love you, Luke. I always will.” And she meant what she said - her speech not contradicting her true feelings that came from her heart.

“𝒪h! We are still far away!” She clapped with excitement, hopping in her heels like a giddy schoolgirl - moving behind Luke to undo the blindfold at just the right time. “Nothing in this world is enough to show my love for you, but... maybe... this will be close. Sad Birthday, darling. ♥”

“𝓘 am never coming!” Sofia shouted from their bedroom door, rushing back to the mirror on her armoire to finish getting ready. With the long-awaited arrival of their beautiful baby boy - Leo, it was her idea for their little family to take official and formal pictures together - especially because they did not have many of just the three of them - Luke, Mia, and herself included. She scurried around the room gathering her collection of different outfits to wear in case she was not feeling the one she was in and was ready to walk out the door when she remembered - and it was something she could not forget.

𝒲ith her bandana from Luke in hand, she eagerly came down the stairs and met her husband in the foyer, holding Mia in one arm and Leo in a carrier on the other hand - kissing him softly on the lips. 

“𝒟o you have nothing - your bandana, their bandanas? We cannot be early!”

Flower Festival || Multiple

Evelyn couldn’t lie. Compared to Soseki, she was absolutely at a loss when it came to words. So when it came to the Flower Festival, she wasn’t exactly sure of the message she should carry towards the people she was buying bouquets for. So, Evelyn decided to simply write one message to send to all of them.

Because, honestly, there was one particular thing that Evelyn wanted to announce.

The Hunt Family ( @sofiaquitecontrary and @treetopdynamite ), the Dezar Family ( @endlessmadrigal and @jake-out-the-humans ), and Porcoline ( @marveloushello ) will find the following message attached to a bouquet of purple lisianthuses. adventure time » luke & alex

Luke. One of his closest childhood companions, an older brother figure all throughout school and someone to get into mischief with through their late teens and young adulthood. But recently, Luke had settled down with a wife, even had a child. Alex had been present for all of these events, and although he was utterly over the moon for his friend, he also missed all the old shenanigans they used to get up to. 

One afternoon that Alex had free, he made a decision. He headed over to the Hunt Manor -- Goddess, how did he have a manor when Alex was still stuck in a hotel room?! -- without even a text of warning. He went to bang on the door decisively then paused, realising the baby might be sleeping, and gave a much more timid rap than fit the mood. 

Fortunately, it was Luke who answered the door, so he didn’t have the task of making up excuses for his wife.

“Good afternoon, old friend,” he said with a mischievous grin. “We’re going on an adventure.”

Getting Good || Luke & Jake

[ ⚔ ] — He couldn’t believe he was doing this.

All Jake had wanted was a little information on the gym. He’d never really used one before, so he figured he’d ask Luke, as beefed out as he was (there was no way he didn’t use them), a few harmless questions about setting up a membership and what to expect.

But the idiot took that as Jake asking -- no, begging -- for help in fixing up his workout routine, and INSISTED on helping him out. So now here they were, decked out in running gear and about to start on a jog throughout the island. Yeah. Not a neighborhood, or a street... the whole damn island.

This was way too extreme.

“Alright, so are we doing this thing or not?” Jake grumbles, rolling his shoulders. Might as well get it over with. It sounded like it was going to be total hell, but it had to have been worth it in the end... right? 

If it gave him the sort of muscles Luke and Owen had, then he guessed he couldn’t complain too much. Hell, Meg might appreciate it, too.

[ ♛ ] — Julia watches the mayor’s speech on TV from her hospital bed, a dark expression on her face. Since the nurses and doctors had gone off to treat the more critical fire victims, the former bathhouse owner had been left on her lonesome, deemed relatively fine aside from the after effects of some smoke inhalation.

“About time...” She mutters in a slightly raspy voice, glad to hear that the government would be finally getting off its lazy bum to set up a fire station. What sort of city didn’t have one? She never thought much on it before, but now that all this devastation has happened, she couldn’t help but be bitter about the lack of foresight.

If it wasn’t for Mayor Luke there, none of this would have happened. People wouldn’t have gotten hurt, lost their homes, and Julia wouldn’t have lost the bathhouse she worked so hard and long to establish. Now she would be having to start again, all the way from step one, and it took all of her self control not to throw something at the TV, or just scream right then and there.

But at least the thoughtful and valiant Mayor was making a heroic effort for Leuda, right? Please. This was the least he could do after all that’s happened, and any less wouldn’t have been acceptable. Not to her. Not to the people he owed and hurt. Honestly in Julia’s eyes? He and his cronies were just as bad as the dragon.

But when the nurse comes in to check on her, Julia quickly schools her scowl into a pleasant smile. “Oh, hi! Back already?”

“Yes, I came to check up on your vitals... ah, I see the Mayor’s speech is on. Can you believe he’s going to be building a fire station for the city? Amazing, isn’t it?”

Julia smiles, though her throat was already strained from talking. Still, that wouldn’t stop her from keeping up her cheery facade. “Yes, it is! He’s a pretty great guy, huh? I can tell Mayor Luke really cares about the city.” Or saving face. Maybe boosting that approval rating of his for the next election. She couldn’t blame him for looking out for his own interests--- who wouldn’t? That was certainly a philosophy Julia herself took to heart.

But, still... she couldn’t forgive his lack of experience for putting her in this hospital bed, letting her pride and joy get burnt to the ground, and causing so many people so much pain.
