How Does One Adult? [Toby & Luke]

Toby never really had the easiest time making friends. Superficial “friends” - acquaintances, really - were easy enough to make. But real friends? Honest to Harvest Goddess true friends? Now those were hard to come by! One such friend had been busy for quite a while now. As in a few years of busyness. Yikes! Like had been one of Toby’s few real friends since coming to Leuda, and it was rough that they couldn’t spend much time together for so long. But now he was free, and Toby was bringing a sushi platter he made himself to help celebrate. As Toby approached the major, he sucked in a breath. How did Luke even afford this? Toby couldn’t even begin to imagine. He had a hard enough time affording his apartment! Come to think of it, he really needed to consider getting a roommate. He shook his head. Those thoughts could wait. For now, he just had to focus on visiting Luke. Once Toby worked up enough courage, he knocked on the door and waited, all the while hoping he hadn’t gotten the wrong time or address.

Dad Advice || Luke & Soseki

Evelyn and Soseki already had a bit of experience in the parenting department through the times they watched baby Mia. So really, who would be better to turn to than Luke and Sofia? Evelyn was expecting in only a few short months (how time had flown...) and he should ask now before their lives were swamped with new babies. 

Over the last several months, Soseki had been growing out his hair and it was now far past his shoulders. He ran an absent hair through his locks, wondering if he should leave it be for now or stop it short. 

At the Hunt manor, Soseki tried the door and let himself in. “Hello!” He called into the manor, voice bouncing off of the walls. “It’s Soseki!” Their place was much larger than the home he shared with Evelyn and he wasn’t quite sure where one of them might be. He kept waiting to hear either a ‘goodbye’ or a ‘hello’.

░ ⚒️ ░     Iroha was sweating hard as she stayed in front of the forge too long. It was about time to go, but she failed to finish the tool she was forging. She was only ever thought how to forge knives and katanas so she was going to make sure she’ll put in extra effort to learn more.

         She failed to take into account the temperature and doesn’t notice the metal she was working on was starting to break. As she hit the metal with her hammer, it snaps into two right in front of her. That was her third blunder today. Speechless and disappointed in herself, Iroha sighed and started cleaning up. She’ll try to do better come tomorrow.

          As she starts calling it a day, she saw Luke still in the workshop and approached him to say good bye.

         ❝ Good evening . ❞ She didn’t want to hide her blunders from him, especially since she was simply an apprentice in his workshop. ❝ I failed to do a good job today ... it won’t change anything, but please accept my apology . I’ll strive to be better .❞ She bowed low in front of him, ashamed of herself the most.

Getting Good || Luke & Jake

[ ⚔ ] — He couldn’t believe he was doing this.

All Jake had wanted was a little information on the gym. He’d never really used one before, so he figured he’d ask Luke, as beefed out as he was (there was no way he didn’t use them), a few harmless questions about setting up a membership and what to expect.

But the idiot took that as Jake asking -- no, begging -- for help in fixing up his workout routine, and INSISTED on helping him out. So now here they were, decked out in running gear and about to start on a jog throughout the island. Yeah. Not a neighborhood, or a street... the whole damn island.

This was way too extreme.

“Alright, so are we doing this thing or not?” Jake grumbles, rolling his shoulders. Might as well get it over with. It sounded like it was going to be total hell, but it had to have been worth it in the end... right? 

If it gave him the sort of muscles Luke and Owen had, then he guessed he couldn’t complain too much. Hell, Meg might appreciate it, too.

Seeing as how Toby was back in her life, Karina thought it would be a wise idea to get herself a proper fishing rod again (Maybe she could even train Topaz to wake her up when I fish bit the line!)

Mansion Maintenance || Luke & Clorica

The mansion was clean and dinner was made and set aside for the family when they were ready. They were both rather busy, especially with Luke’s new position as mayor, and although their main island was Leuda, Clorica did her best to make the Arcadian mansion feel like home when they were there. It wasn’t often that she traveled, but if the Hunt family needed it, Clorica would drop what she was doing to catch the next boat to Leuda. They were kind people and although it might have taken time for Clorica to get accustomed to Sofia’s speech habits, they were one of the nicest families to work for. Not too demanding.

“It’s our- your nap time.”

 In her arms was a small baby Mia that could barely keep her eyes open. The sleepiness was almost contagious, but the woman still had worked to do. Once she was able to place the baby down in her crib for her mid-day nap (lucky), she turned around to see Luke.

“Oh. I didn’t know you’d be back this early.”

Luke, as a gift to his wife, will be purchasing an Arcadian Manor and paying the 250,000g up front!

Okay, maybe Margaret went a little bit overboard with the gifts for the new baby, but she couldn’t help it! Ever since Sofia had announced her pregnancy, Meg just knew it’d be a girl! And so, since that moment she had been shopping around online for only the cutest clothes for the new baby. She wrapped them all neatly into a very large bag so that Sofia and Luke wouldn’t have to worry about so many bags. Meg made sure to include some cute dresses for photos, a winter dress, and a cute playtime outfit. Jake called her gift “a bit much” but hey, Meg couldn’t let a girl go unfashionable on the island, let alone a cute baby! Though, thinking about the baby’s arrival and shopping for clothes was giving the elf some major baby fever... Best not to tell Jake...
