Billy enjoyed working at the Siren’s Song. It was nice being surrounded by music and his boss was pretty chill. Often when the bar was quiet, he wold pull out his guitar that he brought with him everywhere and play some sweet tunes.

On one of these days, he was playing something mellow to fill the silence. There was no one doing karaoke, so it was too quiet for Billy.

His fingers gently plucked at the strings of his guitar, not paying attention to his surroundings.

New Places, New Faces [BTTP]

About a year had passed since she left home. Pandora did her best to keep thoughts of her mother and late father at bay, but it wasn’t easy. Being alone was still new to her and she was already thinking about returning home. Not only was her money running low, but she was feeling lost. In more ways than one.

The small town she was staying in was near seaside. It was Pandora’s first time seeing the ocean. She was seeing so many things for the first time. Everything was so new. Pandora would never admit it, but it was intimidating and lonely.

Pandora spent most of her time by the ocean, away from all the people who would stare at her. She was watching the ocean, sitting on the sand with her knees to her chest and her chin rested on her folded arms when she noticed something emerge from the water.

“Who are you-What are you?”

⚔ - Whenever Jake wasn’t working or with his wife, he tended to relax in places that were calm and quiet. Away from the usual hustle and bustle of the city, or the constant buzzing of the spirits that tended to follow him.

So he waits until sunset to head to the beach, and do a little fishing. Even with it being summer, most people tended to leave around that time of day, which meant that things would be relatively quiet. The less people to bug him, the better.

But just as he casts his line and begins to settle comfortably at the end of the pier, a sound breaks into his tranquil bubble. More specifically, a voice.

Glaring, he turns to the offending noisemaker, and ends up meeting the wide eyed gaze of a pink haired girl. Tch. The hell did she want?

The Usual Visits || Ondorus & Pia

To Ondorus’ genuine surprise...soon after his arrival on Arcadia, he came across a familiar face from years ago. They initially met several paces from the Univir clan, with he and several others in the clan getting a huge surprise to see a young woman spring up from the water. A mermaid, they later learned, yet another race welcome in a clan accepting all non-humans. 

It was almost funny how they would meet again on the same island, so many miles away from the desert settlement.

He opened the door to his house, seeing the mermaid herself, Pia, just beyond it.

“Why, good afternoon, Pia,” Ondorus spoke, standing aside to let her in, “What brings you in today?” Just after she walked in, Ondorus shut the door behind her. And in an instant, Ondorus let the constant disguise spell wear away, revealing a proud horn on his head and intricate green facial markings on his face. He looked over towards the mermaid, a soft smile on his face.

Sweet Melody ♪ || Lillie & Pia

[ ☀ ] — Being a regular at the karaoke place, Siren’s Song, Lillie had grown familiar with its owner. Pia was a very bubbly and friendly girl that Lillie found easy to get along with, and she had a singing voice that could make even the most melodious of sirens jealous. So it was only fitting, she thinks, that the woman decided to go into the karaoke business.

But since Lillie was in a business of her own, namely acting, singing was one of the skills she also had to keep sharp. So one evening, she catches Pia just as the karaoke place was closing, intent on inviting the pink-haired woman out, and possibly asking her a favor.

“Hey, Pia!” Lillie waves, approaching her with a smile. “Closing up, huh? Did you have any plans after this?”

GIGANTic gifts

✧ Who would he be without his coworkers? The people who help him through everything, and whom he tries to help just as much. Vishnal’s affection towards them hopefully doesn’t go unnoticed, but there’s nothing against a little extra appreciation here and there.

✧ So the next time the Gigant Inn & Springs staff goes to their communal room, they’ll find one red alstroemeria for all of them, with a note:

•｡ ♡ It was nothing out of the ordinary when the young man went fishing to his regular spot along the shore on Arcadia - the only thing that was exceptional from time to time was when he caught a King Fish, but even then, he fell into a rhythm. Though Jack learned fairly quickly after moving to the island a couple of years ago to always expect the unexpected - little was he prepared for his next catch that his hook was snagged on, to which he stood up straight - tall and proud - and reeled the line in. He did not consider himself an adept fisherman by any means; yet, it had to mean something that this one was a big one - almost as if it were human-sized.

With a prideful smirk gracing his features, he tugged on the line and yanked it out of the water - to no avail of fish except for a strand of pink hair. Jack was definitely not expecting pink hair to be the cause of pulling from the depths of the water below. He leaned over the small cliffside and was bestowed with a beautiful young woman swimming in the water - but there was a catch.

“Hey! Are you–” He paused, blinking twice to register the phenomena that he was seeing. She has a tail? “uh… h-hey,” the brunet cleared his throat and raised his voice again for her to hear, albeit laced with uncertainty, “are you okay? Are you swimming?”
