they’re the two sappiest people in all of andromeda, it was inevitable...

As for her family- 

As a kid, her and Scott grew up mainly on their grandparents farm in Ohio while Alec n Ellen worked. She always got along super well with her grandparents and was an absolute angel around them but a little mischief maker everywhere else and she always dragged Scott around with her. Pia has an affinity for engineering which was fostered by her grandfather.

A few years after Alec’s dishonorable discharge, he moved the two of them onto the Citadel with him and Ellen. She thought Alec hung the stars while Scott was closer to their mother. Pia and Alec rarely actually got along b/c she was always getting into trouble and dragging her poor brother down with her, but she really looked up to him for his ambition and strength and eventually she joined the Alliance military to follow in his footsteps.
