Celebrating illegible handwriting with these dust print cups. Inspired by barely legible poems my mother wrote in the late 90s. I find scribbling the poems through ash and printing them backwards on cups inscribes the cup with memory.
Text is really hard! It's difficult to find the right number of the right words that are personal but universal AND can work compositionally and stylistically. I can tell you #fuckthis just slightly outsells #fuckthat #piatext #linequality #allthefucks (at Northern Clay Center)
