From The Search for The Peculiar Stone ✶ Chapter 5

When they arrived, Hiroshi landed into a clearance surrounded by not only towering trees but thickets with plentiful varieties of berries. Clusters of shadows swayed from the gentle gusts and sunlight shone through the cracks of the branches and illuminated the pollen all around. There were juvenile zigzagoon chasing each other in a fashion as their name implied and then there were the elegant vivillion with red and flashy yellow patterned wings that flew in flocks in search of the perfect place to court with their mates and lay their eggs.

     As Hiroshi admired the environment, wending his way through the pleasant forest, a more calmer Cyra had squirmed out of his hold and scuttled up strugglingly to the dragonite's head; sitting on top and straddling against his horn.

    "How come you're not afraid of being up there? It's quite high for someone your size." Hiroshi asked curiously.

     Cyra hesitated, meekly hugging the protuberance. "C-Cause I know you're always there to catch me!"

     "Always huh? Well you could say the same thing when I take you on for flights," he said as he purposely tilted his head back which caused the little mouse to slip ahold from his smooth scales, panicking in surprise as she tumbled down his back, sliding off his tail and landing practically upside-down into a inflorescence of gracidea flowers. Cyra sat up dizzily, sneezing from the pollen, giving her head a shake and looked back at him puzzled.

    The dragonite glanced at her endearingly before walking off. "Come now. If I can't teach you to face your fears today, then the least I can do is get you started on your power."
