UK TNG and DS9 Fans

Okay, TNG fans, if you weren’t aware, Pick TV has been showing Star Trek: The Next Generation in the UK. Bad news for you is that their run of TNG is coming to a close.

They just aired “Emergence,” so there’s just “Preemptive Strike” on Monday, followed by the series finale on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The good news for you is that The Horror Channel is still airing their run of TNG, and they just aired “Ensign Ro” and “Darmok” this week, so they’re just starting Season 5 of their run - so you still have a few more weeks watching TNG on The Horror Channel, till they swap it out with, I dunno, something else.

Want some good news, UK fans of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine? This Thursday, October 1 2020, or 2020-10-01 as I call it, Pick TV start showing “The Emissary,” presumably parts 1 and 2 on separate days. Which means the series episodes proper begin on Monday.

Random Fandom Undeep Thoughts

I just rewatched the Z Nation premiere and it struck me - if the appeal of Newmerica is the camp is really cold and the Zs don't like it there, then why doesn't the gang trek up to Camp Northernlight instead?

I get it, the writers want to return to the roadshow premise that made Z Nation fun in the first place and I am on board with that. I like seeing them check into new towns to see whatever wackiness is in place.

But logically the team would have a better shot at surviving if they go hook up with Citizen Z and Kaya in a base that is mostly eradicated of Zs and has enough supplies to last decades. They know Northernlight is real, not a potential myth. Plus Alaska is way closer than North Eastern Canada.

Just sayin.'

But I am not going to think about it too hard because maybe we will get to see zombie Graceland on the way to Newmerica.
