Hi so I'm a Christian and I would really like to know more about Satanism and your religion and stuff so please enlighten me I swear I'm not gonna murder you or anything

ok so basically there are two types of satanism: laveyan satanism (what i am) and fake satanists (devil-worshipers)

devil-worshipers believe that satan is a real being that can be sacrificed to and stuff. i don’t really know much about this because i think it’s kind of disturbing stuff but it’s basically what most people think of when they think “satanist”

laveyan satanism technically can be defined as whatever a specific person who follows it thinks, so it’s kind of broad. i generally tell people that it’s like organized atheism because we don’t believe in any kind of deity, yet we have our codes and rules. a lot of our documents are filled with like, dark humor and cynicism so it’s pretty enjoyable and you meet some interesting characters i guess?? generally most of laveyan satanists are either atheists or pagans.

laveyan satanism basically supports the idea that each person is their own god (i.e. make sure you're taking care of yourself and not harming yourself etc) and you should treat everything cautiously to prevent disaster to yourself or others.
