Here are some of the developments and visuals for my poster.

I wanted to use a photograph for the background, which would either explain the idea of the tiles, or the flour itself, or the connection to Italy. The middle poster below is the one I presented at my crit.

After the tutorial, I changed my poster to the version shown below right. I photoshopped the background to make the text more readable, moved the packaging up slightly, added a line of text to make it look more professional, and increased the font size of the 'of italy' caption to draw more attention to it.

However, during the 1:1 discussion, I was advised to blur the background as the detailed wheat grains distract from the packaging itself and make it difficult to access the bottom line. I was also advised to pay more attention to the dimensions between all the frames on my poster.

So, my final version of the poster is on the top left. However, I really like the colourful one on the right. For the background I used the brush tool, taking the colours from the pack, I made random brush strokes which I then liquefied and blurred.
