Ugly, late, or expensive. Pick which one you are willing to settle for, because unicorns don’t exist. 🦄 FWIW, I typically choose Ugly first. I like to see what I am working with, and test a mockup in context. Then I go for Late. If I plan my work well enough, I can spend time on iteration and accommodate long timelines from contractors. The last one I go to is Expensive. I want to put a piece of creative through multiple revisions, a trial by fire, before I invest in it seriously. I have wasted money by wanting something Good and Fast before discovering I was making the wrong thing.
