Good Neighbours

Maybe all one needs is a sense of humor and a Winchester 30-30 to get by, but mostly we need to try a little harder to be good neighbours.

Life can be harsh and unfair. But mostly, only if we see it that way. Our bodies fail us gradually. But are broken parts often distract us for the millions of other parts that work perfectly fine. People are horrible sometimes. But one bad apple can steal our attention from the entire bunch of a thousand. The Earth and its the weather can be disastrous. But we know we owe our existence to it. We come from it. The earth has allows human to thrive for over 200,000 years. Our cooperation and economic systems can collapse. Empires and civilizations eventually fall. As foolish attention-seeking puppets rise to power we all still need patience, kindness and a sense of humor to get by. A little kindness to people struggling to get by, alone, or with families goes a long way. Choose your alliances wisely. Families are important. Don't steal from other people. Try your best to get along with your family and your neighbours. Try not to pollute. At least try to put your trash and chemicals in the dump and toxic waste depot. Not in the ground our kids play in, the air we breathe nor the water we drink, swim and bathe in. Give a fuck. Don't litter. We share this place. Your mom isn't here to pick up after you, but I am, and will send you the bill. You should try picking up other people's trash sometime, when you have some spare time.
