Terry Pratchett’s Gonnagles were a nod to the notoriously bad poet William McGonagall
Just in case you didn’t already know.
You can hear some of William McGonnagall’s scary poetry HERE.
Took me ages to figure out that when Terry Pratchett wrote about Buggy Swires and Hamish the Aviator riding buzzards, he wasn't talking about these guys:
'Whut's the plan, Rob?' said one of them. 'Okay, lads, this is what we'll do. As soon as we see somethin', we'll attack it. Right?' This caused a cheer. 'Ach, 'tis a good plan,' said Daft Wullie.

I would LOVE to see Terry Pratchett's Tiffany Aching Series brought to life on screen. They could have so much fun!
David Tennant, Graham McTavish, and every other Scot at the BBC as The Wee Free Men!
Nae laird! Nae quin! We willna be fooled again!
In addition to absolutely loving everything about this song and Ben as William Wallace, I now just really want to see the six idiots as the Nac Mac Feegles.
Imagine Jim as Daft Wullie, Mat as No'-As-Big-As-Medium-Jock-But-Bigger-Than-Wee-Jock-Jock and Awfully Wee Billy Bigchin , Simon as Big Yan and Horace ,Larry as William the Gonnagle and Hamish (and the toad) and Ben as Rob Anybody and Martha as Jeannie.
It would be hilarious.
You know what TV show I am waiting for?
An animated adaption of The Tiffany Aching Adventures from Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series.
I want to see the pictsies and hear their voices. I want to see a little girl kick ass and watch her grow up learning valuable lessons about how to be a force for good in her world and community. I want the awesome faerie tale jokes that Terry Pratchett so brilliantly wrote to reach a wider audience.
That is a tv show I would binge over and over again.
Reading Terry Pratchett's The Wee Free Men. One of them got out of the book and into the sketch book.
