So, it has been a while

Hello friends - I must apologize I’ve been absent for a while again. Life has a way of routinely throwing giant changes and struggles my way. On top of that, health concerns and other things have kept me from getting back to regularly scheduled programming here and other places. Regardless, I had a quiet moment for an update. Many of you know I work my local renaissance festival during the summer and fall. What I tend to keep quiet about is that I am the Resident Cast director - so I manage the street cast and there is some cross over onto stages. I’ve had this position for a few years and it is challenging and rewarding in both ways. This year, I had the extremely monumental task of reworking the entire overarching lore of the festival. With the retirement of the woman who played Queen Elizabeth, I had the opportunity and gumption to introduce something completely new to both cast and patrons alike. It has been a project over a year in development and it was exciting to actually launch it

Introducing The Realm.....

There are four mortal regions and two magical regions - each with their own aesthetic and flavor that help inform the new setting of my festival. It was an incredibly challenging and rewarding experience and I’m excited to see what else we can do in and with this new setting.

I am low key working on a discord server for this setting to RP in - if you’re interested in joining, drop me a line. I need more writing buddies.

With the end of the season, when things start winding down, depression really starts kicking my ass. With a host of other issues cropping up, it’s been a struggle lately. So, if you have any spare positive vibes, I’d appreciate them greatly if you toss some my way.

Recently I had a very bad migraine, to the point I thought I was having a stroke. So, I’m in the process of testing and appointments to figure out what the hell is going on. Fingers crossed it’s nothing major.
