Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Michigan delivers magnificent scenery, hugging Lake Superior’s shoreline for over 40 miles. Views of the towering multicolored sandstone cliffs are consistently breathtaking, but this scene from atop Grand Portal Point has to be one of the best. With the emerald waters of Lake Superior below, the rising cliffs topped by the fall foliage and even Grand Island in the distance...what more could you ask for?
