Rhubarb pie from a roadside vendor. $3/slice.

Lewis and Anne were sharing a piece of rhubarb pie on the roadside when suddenly Amber and Harold, two thirds of Team Pie Hunters, swooped in and began a conversation. They careen around the state in search of pie. Their helmets are decorated to emphasize al alertness for one or another type of pie. Amber rides in search of strawberry pie, her father Harold searches for pecan pie, and her mother searches for apple pie.

Like Team Cicada they are a three-rider team. They alternate driving the team vehicle from overnight town to overnight town. The Pie Hunters are Ragbrai-famous.

Amber whispered sweet words of encouragement causing Anne and Lewis to visit Kelly's Berry Best Pies. Kelly set-up next to Mr. Porkchop this year.
