oh wow. i completely forgot that chuck is canonically bi. but yeah?? if they made him queer, why are they so careful about everything else? and true true. Not Straight sam better just keep being a thing since we'll probably never get more.

I distinctively remember watching the reveal of that while my best friend was running a DnD game over the internet, and I just... closed my laptop and walked out to deal with that. Not that I didn’t like them doing it, but I didn’t expect the writers to go there. At all. 

Yeah, exactly! I wish I’d understand! And Jared’s said before he’d be happy to play Sam as queer, too?!

The cynical part of me wants to point out how very interesting it is that our queercoded due to psychic powers, often put in a traditionally female narrative role, and silenced both in and out of universe character doesn’t have a canon sexuality, but I think I will refrain.

2. Are there any popular fandom OTPs you only BroTP?

Well, I mean, there’s only two big OTPs in this fandom, right? The one big ship in this fandom I just outright don’t like, I can’t even BroTP it. And the other is a literal BroTP that some people ship, which I’m personally whatever about?

I totally get that people have problems with the incest aspect of that, which is completely valid, but I do love the fucked up early seasons dynamic, so… yup.

5. Has fandom ever ruined a pairing for you?

OH BOY, I DON’T KNOW, HAS IT.

There’s some nice D*stiel shippers around and I used to be mutuals with some until we all moved onto other things, and literally all of the messaged me when Sam and Cas finally hugged after years and years, but I need fandom at large to stop shoving that ship down my throat, and I loathe how a lot of the shippers act and how that’s the ship almost everyone who doesn’t know the show associates the show with, and how that also always fucking means Sam gets sidelined.

And I’m also going to stop talking before someone yells at me.

7. Is there anything you used to like but can’t stand now?

Well, in terms of characters, I actually used to like Cas? You know, back in season 4.

But also, I used to like Mystery Spot and it’s just painful to me now. (My secondary set of parents actually offered to take me to the real place in Santa Cruz, and I had to try and not be outwardly horrified by that. They were also horrified slash amused when I binged all of s11 and s12 in two weeks during vacation.)

11. Is there an unpopular character you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why?

This is kinda similar to the one I just answered, but I like the female characters that are hated by fandom pretty much just because they’re women, because oh boy do they love male characters that display the exact same fucking character traits they hate female characters for. I’m doing this a) because I’m really into women and b) out of spite.
