A Taste of Tuscany, October 2022 Day 5: A visit to Pienza, a superb example of Renaissance architecture, followed by a lunch in the beautiful medieval town of Montepulciano! Another perfect day exploring Pienza, which has inspired poets, writers, and artists, surrounded by the wonderful hills of the Val d’Orcia. We then headed to Montepulciano, a classic fairytale hilltop town of rare beauty, surrounded by vineyards and known for its vino mobile red wine. Chapel Vitaleta , Val dOrcia Tuscany We have passed this church many times over the past few days . While its nice to capture images in the the golden hours i do feel its important to capture images throughout the day and work with the light thats presented to us . On this occasion we had side light from the right . Also i liked the simple colour palette . This image is a jpeg straight from the camera shot in 16x9 at 600mm hand held with Sony A7R +Sigma 150-600 .
